Welcome to Suicide Awareness Ireland we know time to time things can get on top of us. The mind is a powerful tool. We will all need help and support from time to time. It takes a strong person to ask for help not a weak one.

Our Mission Statement
Suicide Awareness Ireland is to raise awareness in Ireland. Ireland suicide rate is out of control. We will do our up most to raise this issues and stop another person talking there own life. please remember it's OK not  to be OK and it's perfectly OK to ask for help

If You are Feeling Suicidal – Suicide Chat and Helplines
Your family and friends would rush to help you if you were drowning or in an accident, so tell them now if your life is in danger from suicide.
If you are feeling suicidal, there are many people who will gladly help you if you let them know you have a problem.
If you feel like talking to someone outside of your family and friends, there are many services available to help you. If you are not ready to talk to anyone but are looking for strategies to help you cope right now, see this help page.

Hospitals
You can call the emergency department of any hospital.
If you do not have the number, call directory enquiries and the operator will give you the number of your nearest emergency department.
GPs, Counsellors, Psychiatrists or Psychologists
You can also call your local doctor, or you psychologist or psychiatrist if you have one. They often have an emergency number for out of hours emergencies.

Console are a support group for those who have lost a loved one through suicide. They provide support through counselling and support groups in different parts of Ireland. Check the Console website for details for your local area.
